Patoranking returns to Coke Studio, is paired with Tanzanian Alikiba

Patoranking is best known for hits like “No kissing baby”, “Girlie O” and “My Woman, My Everything”. This will mark his second appearance on the show after his debut last year. The new season is set to premiere in different regions from September this year and will broadcast in more than 30 countries across Africa.

Speaking during the record of the at the studio, Patoranking said: “Big shout out to Coke Studio Africa for having me for a second time – the whole music making experience is always a beautiful experience. Imagine me with a legend like Alikiba? It’s a big one!” His imagination is now a reality as he and Alikiba are paired to make music which will be produced by top Nigerian music producer Masterkraft.

This year Coke Studio has merged Coke Studio Africa and Coke Studio South Africa into one—bigger and better Coke Studio Africa 2017. The show promises to be a melting pot of music talents bringing together renowned music producers and top-notch artists drawn from various parts of the continent. The merger increases the number of participating countries to sixteen, up from eleven in the previous edition.
