The Flying Eagles of Nigeria have crashed out of the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland after they lost 2-1 to Senegal in a Round of 16 fixture which was played on Monday night in Lodz.
Goals from Senegal’s Amadou Sagna and Ibrahima Niane were enough to seal the win for the Young Lions of Teranga despite Flying Eagles’ Aniekeme Okon consolation goal.
Senegal will now face the winner of the match between Japan and South Korea, in the quarter-final.
