New royal book claims Prince Harry is the mind behind 'Megxit'| Get the scoop

According to The Sun, the book, titled, ‘Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family’ will tell the couple’s side of the story and dispel talks about the couple’s exit from the royal family being Meghan’s idea.

In January 2020, the couple made a shock announcement that they would be stepping down from their position as senior royals, forfeiting a lot in the process.

The book is set to reveal that ‘Megxit’, which is what the couple’s royal family exit was termed, was actually Harry’s idea.

A Publishing Insider told the sun that the word ‘Megxit’ has always made Harry upset, saying,

“It gives the impression that the decision to walk away from the Royal Family was Meghan’s.

“The reality is Harry drove that decision. The book will make that clear and explain why it had to happen. The truth is Harry had been unhappy for a long, long time.”

The book is being published with the couple’s consent and is written by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand who both have access to Harry, Meghan, and their friends.
