The police in Akwa Ibom have arrested Nigerian actor Moses Armstrong for allegedly raping a 16-year-old minor.
The police in Akwa Ibom have arrested Nigerian actor Moses Armstrong for allegedly raping a 16-year-old minor. Abubakar Yakubu, national secretary of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), confirmed his arrest at The Cable Lifestyle on Thursday evening.
Yakubu, however, did not provide more information on the development or the basis for the actor’s arrest and detention. When contacted, Emeka Rollas, the national president of the AGN, also didn’t immediately speak on the matter.

The state’s First Lady, Martha Udom Emmanuel, through her NGO, Family Empowerment and Youth Re-Orientation Path Initiative, is said to be pursuing justice in the matter. Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, described the matter as “a severe case,” saying such acts are to be frowned at among members of the association.
