Majek Fasheek is critically ill in London hospital, his manager confirms

Nigerian reggae legend Majekodunmi Fasheke, popularly known by his stage name Majek Fashek, is critically ill and has been hospitalised in London, UK.

It is the singer’s manager, Uzoma Day Omenka, who confirmed the report. He says the singer is receiving treatment at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, London.

According to Omenka, Majek Fashek took ill last month and was rushed to London on 24 August 2019, after a brief admission at a Lagos hospital.

In an Instagram video released this morning, Uzor, while confirming that the Majek Fasheek is critically ill in a London hospital asks Nigerians for assistance to help with the mounting bills they are facing. He also thanks the fans for their support while asking everyone to pray for him.

It is true we are in Queen Elizabeth hospital here in England. Yes, Majeek is very sick but he is not dead. Let us not wish him dead, people that spread fake news.

“Let us come together and pray for him to survive it and I pray and I am sure that he is going to survive it. He is sick, anybody can be sick. He only needs support, financial support as I say because I have run out of money of money. Since I came to England, it is not easy. I’ve been doing this alone for the past two years.

“So whatever news, whatever big man that said he supported, we are not getting support. We really need support. But the good thing is he is being taken care of but the upkeep and money we need.

“I just want you fans, everywhere in the world, thank you for support. Let us pray for the legend.”
