'King David', 'Papa Ifeanyi' and other praises as Davido celebrates 28th birthday

David Adedeji Adeleke professionally called Davido marks his 28th birthday on 21 November 2020 and fans have been praising him with monikers such as ‘Papa Ifeanyi’ and ‘King David’.

Davido was born on 21 November 1992 as the youngest of five children to businessman, Adedeji Adeleke. Davido had risen to fame after he dropped “Dami Duro”, his second single in 2012.

Since then, he has continuously fed fans with hits and earned himself the nickname, ‘hit maker’. Songs such as “Back When”, “Gobe”, “Skelewu”, “Aye”, “Tchelete (Goodlife)”, “Owo Ni Koko”, “The Sound”, “The Money”, “If”, “Fall”, and “Blow My Mind” have established him as one of Nigeria’s top singers.

In 2016, he founded his own record label Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) and signed Dremo, Mayorkun, Yonda and Peruzzi. As of 2020, Davido had already released three studio albums namely; Omo Baba Olowo (2012), A Good Time (2019), and A Better Time (2020).

Series of messages have been pouring in for the singer on social media. It appears that Davido has been enjoying his birthday all night as his Instagram Story is littered with videos of him partying with friends and colleagues.
