German Star Leaves Pitch against Besiktas Because Of Fans’ Noise

Timo Werner who has impressed for both club and country in the past season asked the coach to take him out of the match last night against Besiktas because he could not cope with the noisy atmosphere created by the home fans.

He was eventually taken off with just 32 minutes played and he later said:

“I asked for some ear plugs and it didn’t help either. I still did not feel well. I have never seen such an atmosphere in my life. I could not focus on the match”

Even his coach too had to voice his opinion telling CapaMag Spor:

“It is impossible to prepare your team for an atmosphere like this. There was a deafening noise and at the start of the game we were a bit affected.”
