Festac explosion: Nigerians blame government for lives lost

The citizens living at the Abule Ado, Festac area of Lagos State were shocked after an explosion took place in the area on Sunday 15th March 2020. 

The explosion which was said to have been caused by an NNPC pipeline left some people dead and some properties vandalised.

Bethlehem College, which is located in the area, collapsed and the principal, Reverend Sister Henrietta Alokha, was said to have died while trying to rescue students from the school.

According to the Punch newspaper, no fewer than 60 students of Bethlehem Girls College located within the area, sustained various degrees of injury at the incident. They were also taken to the Nigerian Navy Hospital at Ojo Cantonment.

It was indeed a sad experience for the residents and Nigerians. Many Nigerians have also taken to Twitter to express their reaction.
