Disney Studios has released the official trailer of its Joachim Ronning directed sequel to Maleficent, which picks up the story several years after the events of the 2014 original.
The film’s official synopsis promises new adversaries and fresh alliances, with Angelina Jolie maintaining the lead role as Maleficent alongside Elle Fanning and Michelle Pfeiffer.
The trailer for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil was announced via the movies official Instagram account with a caption that read:
“Go beyond the fairytale. Watch the brand new trailer for Disney’s #Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. In theatres October 18”
In the trailer, Princess Aurora (Elle Fanning) is hearing wedding bells. But her terrifying mother figure Maleficent (Angelina Jolie and her amazingly enhanced cheekbones) isn’t so sure about this.
