Football legend and Dorados de Sinaloa coach, Diego Maradona, has slammed the Argentina national team after they were defeated 3-1 by Venezuela in a friendly match on Friday night.

Striker Lautaro Martinez scored the only goal for Argentina, but goals from Salomon Rondon, Jhon Murillo, and Josef Martinez of Venezuela were enough to defeat La Albiceleste at the Wanda Metropolitano.

When Maradona was asked if he had watched the game, he answers: “No I didn’t see the Argentina game, I don’t watch horror movies.

“The inept people who will govern the national team, did they think they were going to beat Venezuela? They are a good team. Argentina entered through the window, not even through the door because they betray and lie to people all the time. I’m sorry but they won’t win games.

“I feel very Argentine but I feel with other coaches and players like Ruggeri, Batista, Giusti, Pumpido, Caniggia it would be different.

“This team don’t deserve the shirt. They don’t have a clue and I’m sorry for the people of Argentina who continue to believe these liars and for the players who have to put up with it.”
