Death of Eric Arubayi – A husband of Chinonso Arubayi
Chinonso Arubayi, the wife of late gospel singer Eric Arubayi, has recounted how she felt betrayed by God when Eric passed away just three years after their wedding.
She made this known in an interview with TVC on 2 January 2019.
“My husband & I lived a faith-based life,” she said, adding: “When he died, I lived in denial because I felt betrayed by God that my husband, a gospel artist, could die. I fell into depression, shaved my hair & wouldn’t accept inspirational messages from well-wishers.”
Chinonso also spoke on why she had to quickly pick up herself and forge on with life.
”In order to pay my own bills, cater for my son and convince people to allow me to make them up, I had to start looking good again. From there, I started my make up line and media hustle,” she said.
Recall that on February 11, 2017, Nigerian gospel artiste, Eric Arubayi, died from complications arising from taking fake anti-malaria drugs.
