Nigerian singer, Davido, has seen his latest album, A Better Time debut at number 170 on Billboard 200 chart this week marking a huge win for the artist and Afrobeats in general.
Confirming the news that Davido’s third studio album, A Better Time debuted on Billboard 200 chart, the official handle of the authority in music ranking tweeted:

A Better Time became the third Afrobeats album in 2020 to make it to the Billboard 200 chart after Burna Boy‘s Twice As Tall made it to number 54 and Wizkid‘s Made In Lagos entered at number 80. A total of 13 albums made their debut this week in the Billboard 200 chart; including Future and Lil Uzi Vert‘s Pluto x Baby Pluto, which debuted at number 2.
While this is the first time Davido’s album will be on the Billboard 200 chart, the music authority recognises the artist already. In February 2019, Davido’s Fall became the longest charting Nigerian pop song in Billboard history.
Congratulations to Davido on this Billboard 200 chart achievement with his A Better Time album. What do you think about this new milestone for Davido and Nigerian music?
