The head coach of the Costa Rican team Oscar Ramirez has come under much criticism after confessing to not knowing Eden Hazard’s name, a player that did his side a lot of damage.

The International friendly between Eden Hazard’s Belgium and Costa Rica saw the Costa Rican team lose by four goals to one (4-1).

The goal-packed fixture produced 2 goals from Lukaku and 1 goal each from Dries Mertens and Michy Batshuayi respectively for the Belgian side.

Following Hazard’s impressive performance, Costa Rica’s manager Oscar Ramirez told reporters: “The 10 did us a lot of damage… I don’t know his name.”

Why is the manager coming under fire? Many are of the opinion that not knowing the name of an opposition player as vital as Eden Hazard means that he did not prepare his players adequately for the havoc that such a player could wreak.

Hazard limped off in the 70th minute with a dead leg, but head coach Roberto Martinez insists it’s only a minor knock.
