Coronavirus update: 146 new cases confirmed in Nigeria; total hit 4787

Nigeria has recorded an additional 146 confirmed COVID-19 cases in 24 hours, according to the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC).

The total number of confirmed cases in the country has now gone up to 4,787 by the night of 12 May 2020, according to data reported by the NCDC through its verified Twitter handle during its nightly coronavirus in Nigeria updates.

The spread of the virus has grown rapidly since it was first announced in Nigeria in February 2020, only a few months after the outbreak started in Wuhan, China.
