Coronavirus Nigeria update: 453 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Nigeria

The National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has released the most recent nightly update for the proper tracking of COVID-19 in Nigeria.

The NCDC, which monitors the spread and treatments of COVID-19 in Nigeria releases nightly updates on their Twitter account to keep Nigerians abreast on the state of things in the country.

Coronavirus is the virus that causes COVID-19 and so far, there have been more than 20 million cases worldwide. In Nigeria though, there have been 47743 cases confirmed in total.

On Wednesday, 12 August, a nightly update was released and according to it, 453 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Nigeria.

Lagos recorded the highest number of cases in the country with 113 new cases with Abuja close behind at 72 new cases.
