UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson recovers from Coronavirus; leaves hospital (Video)

Good news to Britons as the UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson leaves  St Thomas hospital after one week of hospitalisation following worsening Covid-19 symptoms.

The prime minister shared the news with a video he posted on his Twitter handle late Sunday afternoon.

It is hard to find the words to express my debt to the NHS for saving my life.

According to the prime minister, the NHS saved his life, “no question”.

The NHS is the UK healthcare delivery system, which has reportedly been under pressure from financing and structural changes.

The recovered prime minister thanks the NHS and the people of Britain for staying at home and practising social distancing.

He also notes that the NHS needs to be protected and expresses his conviction that the fight against the Coronavirus will be won.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson also singles out by names the nurses and medics who took care of him while thanking them for their dedication.

He also reminds the people of Britain to continue adhering to the government’s guideline to preventing the spread of the virus.

Boris was taken to the hospital last Sunday, 5th April 2020, after his condition worsen. He was reportedly rushed to the intensive care unit. Thankfully, he responded to treatment and has now left the hospital to return presumably to number 10 Downing Street, his official residence.

Meanwhile, 84,279 cases and 10,612 Coronavirus-related deaths have been recorded in the UK, according to data from Wordometer.

The UK is th sixth most hit country in the world by the Coronavirus pandemic and the fifth country with the highest number of deaths from the diseases.
