However, when it eventually did in 2017 and the Big Brother Naija season 2 housemates stepped into the house, it was so much fun that dedicated viewers turned up in front of their television sets every single day to watch the show.

Big Brother Naija season 1 housemate, Ebuka, even hosted the show, something he has continued to do into the fifth season of the show in 2020.
A total of 14 housemates entered the Big Brother Naija season 2 house and remained there for 78 days to compete for the grand prize of 25 million Naira.
Two fake housemates, John Ogah and Ese Eriata were also introduced halfway into the show to spice things up, which viewers absolutely loved.

1. Efe Ejeba
Michael Efe Ejeba, popularly known as Efe Money, was known as the original ‘Warri Boy’. He eventually won the grand prize after staying on the show for 78 days.

Efe studied economics at the University of Jos but this did very little for him on the show as he wanted to be known as a rapper and a singer.
He carried on a romantic relationship with fellow housemate, Marvis, who rejected him throughout the entirety of the show. He was known for his drunken fits after every Saturday Night Party.
He also popularized the phrase, ‘Based on Logistics’, which he turned into a song after he left the house. He released the song on 27 April 2017.
He has since released a number of songs such as Yeba, Babaloke, Far Away, I Done Care, Onome, I love You, 6 Pack, Baba Loke and Somebody.
In December 2017, Efe released his hit song, ‘Warri’ featuring Olamide. The music video accompanying the song was released on YouTube and currently has over 1.2 million views.
In September 2019, he released ‘Campaign’ featuring Ice Prince and BOJ.
2. Marvis
Marvis Nkpornwi, known simply as Marvis, wears many hats as an actress, model, rapper, and a businesswoman. While she was in the Big Brother Naija house, it was common knowledge that Marvis is descended from royals.
She is the youngest of seven children.

Although Marvis carried on with a romantic relationship with Efe while she was in the house, she never actually agreed to date him. The relationship took her far in the house, however, and she finished fifth overall.
Now, Marvis is the CEO of Nahsodotcom, a clothing brand. She still maintains relationships with the former housemates and is closest to Efe and Bisola, even featuring them in one of her songs, “Vibe”.
3. Soma
Somadina Anyama, known simply as Soma, was the first housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother Naija season 2 house.

He was not known for fights or quarrels in the house, but he was known for his relationship with fellow housemate, Gifty. After his time in the house, Soma immediately dived into the entertainment industry.
He released a number of songs, including ‘Liquor’.
That is not all he does though. Somadina made his debut in Nollywood in the series, “Jenifa’s Diary”.
4. Miyonse
Miyonse Amosu is a Nigerian journalist, media personality and professional chef who was one of the first housemates to be evicted from the Big Brother Naija house.

His most controversial relationship in the house was the one he had with fellow housemate TBoss. In fact, some viewers and ex-housemates say that this relationship distracted him and led to his eviction from the house.
After he left the Big Brother Naija house, in June 2017, he was announced as the maiden ambassador for Payporte Food Store.
He also got himself additional endorsements with Indomie, SamVita Foods, TV Cooking show deals worth millions of Naira and many more.
Miyonse Amosu also trains aspiring chefs and facilitates numerous private and public culinary sessions. He also hosts the cooking segment of the “Wake Up Nigeria” breakfast show on TVC Entertainment, which has over 800,000 daily viewers.
5. CoCoIce
CoCoIce was a housemate on the Big Brother Naija season 2 show and is best known for the episode where she bared her breasts for fellow housemate Bassey as well as the viewers on the show.

Now, CoCoIce is a singer and a producer. She released the song, “Feeling my P” immediately after the house.
She is also an entrepreneur and has launched a skincare brand, Rekhii Beauty.
6. Gifty
Gifty was the fourth housemate to leave the show and was known to for her ability to imitate anyone and switch accents accordingly.

After she was evicted from the Big Brother Naija house, she focused on her acting career and has gone on to star in a number of Nollywood movies such as ‘Girl Power’, The Gym House’, ‘Zubby and the White Priestess’, among others.

Gifty cites her mother as her inspiration for working as hard as she does. In 2018, Gifty welcomed a baby girl and although many have said that she welcomed the baby with her rumoured boyfriend, Mr 2Kay, she has continued to deny the news.
Now, however, Gifty is focused on working hard enough to realise her dreams and become a top Nollywood star.
7. Uriel
Uriel Oputa is one of the housemates on the second season of the Big Brother Naija show. She was the sixth housemate to be evicted from the show.

Uriel was born in England but she grew up in Nigeria. In 2019, she officially became a British citizen.
While she was on the show, she said that she likes to cook, but only because she was influenced by fellow housemate Miyonse.
