In March, YouTube revealed that it was releasing a dark mode for its mobile apps, starting with its iOS version.

Now, Android users are beginning to get the feature on their apps. YouTube added a dark mode to its desktop site last year, and the company says that it became one of the most requested features for its mobile apps.

The feature began rolling on Saturday, notifying users with a prompt which says that it can be turned on and off in the app’s settings. To turn the feature on/off, go to settings and then general and there is a new dark theme toggle.

Channels still retain their colourful app bars, while the biggest impact of the dark theme is on the video page.
