But even such are not usually limited to complete strangers - our female friends, cousins, sisters, colleagues are often guilty of these as well. Usually, they want something peculiar for women to use such as a sanitary towel, lipstick and tissue. And it’s really embarrassing, not only for the person asking but also for the person who is asked. “I’m so sorry, I just used the last one,” and watch their face droop. I’ve been there, both as the asker and the asked so I know what I’m talking.
On lucky days, we meet someone who can help out or better yet, we find a convenience store nearby and save ourselves the embarrassment. Other times, we just have to deal with the mess as we best as we could; trust me it’s not something you want to try more than once.
Here is my list of six must have every woman should have in their handbag everytime they step out of the house:

1. Cash
When going out (especially on a date), having cash at hand always saves a lot of stress and mess. We understand that the world has really evolved to cashless transactions, albeit, not every place in the world has evolved. But even if you happened to live in the most digitalised part of the earth, technology has been known to fail and usually when you need them most to work. Transaction decline? Temporarily unable to dispense cash? Sounds familiar? Cash saves the day. Put some cash in your wallet and another stored separately away from her wallet just in case you lose the wallet, especially if the date didn’t go as planned and you decide to get a taxi home instead.

2. Tissue/wipers
Not every place in the world has a restroom with tissue. They are also handy for wiping off surfaces and body parts and preventing spread viruses from sneezing and coughing. Sometimes, there just aren’t tissues anywhere around and it can be really embarrassing asking a random person for a tissue.

3. Sanitary Pad
An extra sanitary pad for any woman who might be in need and secondly because nobody likes to give away their last sanitary pad. Moreover, for a lot of women, their menstruation cycle is irregular and you don’t want to be caught unprepared. Having a sanitary pad can save the day.
4. Sanitiser
Yes, another hygiene related piece of essential. Really useful for after visiting the public restroom. You don’t want to transfer bacteria from the restroom to other places, least of all your mouth. Use the sanitiser to keep yourself reasonable free from infection. Moreover, you don’t knon when you might reach for that unplanned snack.
