Ollie Watkins described his brace against the team he supports as “unbelievable” as Aston Villa outclassed Arsenal with a resounding 3-0 victory at the Emirate, lifting them into sixth on the Premier League table.
The home team conceded an own goal after Academy graduate Bukayo Saka fumbled the ball beyond Goalkeeper Bernd Leno into his own net after meeting a Matt Targett’s cross.
Watkins, on the back of scoring a hat-trick earlier this season against reigning champions Liverpool doubled Villa’s lead in the 72nd minute before completing his brace three minutes later, feeding off a delightful pass from Jack Grealish to make it 3-0.

The 24-year-old said after the game: “As an Arsenal fan to score here at the Emirates is unbelievable, I think I have another level.
“In the second half you saw what I’m about, getting the ball, setting and spinning and making defenders run towards their own goal – hopefully the more I can do that the more goals I can score,” he adds.
The former Brentford man has now bagged six goals in his debut Premier League season.
