While he was there, he met legendary singer and producer, Will.i.am. The two immediately clicked, as shown in the video Mayorkun shared on his Instagram page.
Will.i.am tried on Mayorkun’s sunglasses and the Nigerian singer, in turn, played his latest song, ‘Geng’, which Will seemed to really like.
In fact, Will.i.am liked the song so much that he told Mayorkun that they have to make an album along with his music group, Black Eyed Peas.
So, its safe to say that a huge collaboration may be coming our way soon.
Mayorkun, while talented, owes his success to hard work and social media. Twitter users will remember the time when Mayorkun’s freestyle went viral on the social media application, after which DMW boss, Davido offered him a record deal.
