Morgan Freeman made his acting debut at age nine, playing the lead role in a school play. People rushed him to The Regional Medical Center hospital in Memphis via medical helicopter. After investigating what caused the accident, the Police ruled out alcohol as a factor in the crash. Freeman broke his elbow, arm, and shoulder in the crash and underwent surgery immediately.
The operation lasted four hours because the crash damaged his nerves, arm, and shoulder. Unfortunately, after the surgery, he stated that he was left-handed. He mentioned that he could not move his left-hand fingers, and since then, he has worn a glove called the compression glove.
