Tunisia’s back up keeper in their final group stage game against Panama will have to be a striker, Fakhreddine Ben Youssef.

Following unfortunate injuries to their first and second choice goalkeepers, Mouez Hassen and Farouk Ben Mustapha, Tunisia us now only left with one goalkeeper, 33-year-old Mathlouthi.

Tunisia’s request to use backup keeper Moez Ben Cherifia was denied because Fifa rules forbid teams to replace players midway through the tournament.

This must be bad news for the Tunisian camp and Moez Ben Cherifia who already arrived in Russia on Wednesday.

Tunisia will have striker Fakhreddine Ben Youssef as understudy to goalkeeper Aymen Mathlouthi in Thursday’s closing Group G match against Panama.

They are now playing for pride because either way, lose or win, they are still out of the tournament.
