In Suicide Squad, we watched Harley Quinn and Joker’s love and got to learn how it started, up until the point where they both… went their separate ways.
Well, Harley Quinn is back and she’s proving that she doesn’t need a man. Essentially, she’s giving Joker the middle finger and proving that she can be bad all by herself. Well, along with some accomplices.
In the movie, titled Birds of Prey (or the Fantabulous Emancipation of Harley Quinn), Harley Quinn, fresh from her breakup with Joker goes through all the motions of breakup (as you’ve seen them in all those movies). She cuts her hair, gets a pet, eats ice cream, and the works. But she also has a target on her back.
Unprotected and on the run, Quinn faces the wrath of narcissistic crime boss Black Mask, his right-hand man, Victor Zsasz, and every other thug in the city.
But things soon even out for Harley when she becomes unexpected allies with three deadly women — Huntress, Black Canary and Renee Montoya.
Birds of Prey is the eighth movie in the DC Extended Universe and the second-highest DC movie, sitting just under Wonder Woman, which is rated a very impressive 93%.

It was directed by Cathy Yan and written by Christina Hodson, and stars Margot Robbie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Rosie Perez, Chris Messina, Ella Jay Basco, Ali Wong, and Ewan McGregor.
Margot Robbie, who plays the titular character and is also a producer on the movie, pitched it to Warner Bros. in 2015. In 2016, the movie was announced and fans began biting their teeth in anticipation.
