In this week’s episode of Toke Moments, the author and media personality opens up on her struggle with Fibroids, her recent surgery and her journey to healing.

Toke Makinwa says she was diagnosed with fibroid about 7 years ago and she decided to have the surgery this year as the fibroid was beginning to affect her.

Prior to the surgery, the OAP felt a lot of pains, couldn’t sit properly and the fibroid was beginning to push certain organs inside of her.

By the time the fibroid grew to 6, she had to wear undergarments, body shakers, etc so as not to have her stomach appear bloated like she was pregnant.

Even though she didn’t want surgery because of its depressive consequence, she had to give in to surgery eventually. This happened after she had been to churches like mountain of fire seeking healing.

Toke also spoke about post-surgery, enlightening her audience that healing starts from the mind and no matter how optimistic an individual is, this period is a time to be grateful for the most minute act of love as you would need help in all ways: from getting up from bed to having a bath.
