Taylor Swift is the star of Vogue's coveted September cover

Taylor Swift is riding high this year.

She was not only named the highest growing entertainer of 2019 by Forbes, but she is also the lucky celebrity who gets featured for Vogue’s coveted September cover.

And the singer is very sensible of the honour, tweeting: “I’m so so so grateful to Anna, Tonne Goodman, Sergio Kletnoy and basically anyone who was like ‘yeah she can be on the Sept issue cover.”

In case you’re wondering what the hype is, Vogue’s September issue is the magazine biggest issue of the year. It signals the beginning of a new fashion year pulling in big bucks in advertising.

And Glamour explains why: “There’s a back-to-school feeling in the air, summer holidays have ended and the mood shifts.

“Although January is still the time that most people look for new jobs, September comes a close second. It’s a period of reinvention and fresh starts when the dresses you wafted about in all summer no longer feel on point. It’s a big-time for shopping and new wardrobes.”

And so it is a big deal who is featured on the September cover.
