Reports making the round is that Prince Charles might star in the yet to be titled Bond 25 film, which hits the cinemas next year.
The idea, it is claimed, was born after the British prince visited the set of the film at Pinewood Studion last June.
If the cameo comes off, he wouldn’t be the first royal to appear on-screen alongside Bond. In 2012, the Queen appeared accompanied Daniel Craig’s 007 in a short clip filmed for London’s opening of the Olympic Games.
“They loved the buzz around the Queen’s appearance alongside Daniel Craig and think Charles could top even that,” a source allegedly tells The Sun on Sunday. “He is the epitome of everything British, perfect for a cameo role and Bond fans worldwide would absolutely love it.”
The same source also said that if Charles, who is “considering” the appearance, turns down the offer, producers would try to sort it so Prince William and Harry could cameo. The Princes filmed cameos as Stormtroopers in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but their appearance was edited out because they were considered too tall.
It was recently revealed that Bond 25 cast member Lashana Lynch will be introduced as the first female 007 in what is being described as a “pivotal” scene. A film insider said she’ll be tasked with tracking Craig’s character and bringing him out of retirement for a new mission.
