Nigerian alternative (folk) singer Johnny Drille has recently stated his opinion on tithing.

In an interview with Net TV,  the singer says tithing is personal and nobody should be forced to tithe.

Johnny says: “I am a Christian, and I believe in the bible, of course, 10% of your income. Nobody is forcing anybody to. If you don’t want to give, it’s left for you but we believe because it’s what our faith says we should do - what the bible says we should do, so we do it.

“We don’t do it because people say we should or shouldn’t. At the end of the day, it’s our money, it’s our income. If you want to give 100% to God, it’s our own choices. I’m a Christian, I believe the word of God and I’m all for tithing.
