Nigeria's Gernot Rohr makes top twenty National team coaches list

Super Eagles’ coach, Gernot Rohr has made the list of top twenty national team coaches.

The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS), which is based in Germany, rated Rohr 19th on the list, one point above Iran, which rounded up the list.

Rohr earned his place following his commendable efforts with Nigeria’s national team.

In his 49 competitive matches, Rohr has won 59.12% wins, losing nine matches, and drawing 11.

The German national also led Nigeria to a third-place finish at the just concluded 2019 AFCON.

Other African teams on the list include Algeria’s Djamel Belmadi in the fifth position, Madagascar’s French coach Nicolas Dupuis in the 10th position, and Senegal coach Aliou Cisse, who is ranked 18th.
