The Brazilian was linked with a move to Roma, a move that seemed almost certain, but Barcelona had plans of their own.
Roma announced on Monday that they were on the verge of acquiring the 21-year-old’s services after they had reached an unsigned agreement with his former side Bordeaux.
Malcom has now reportedly signed a 5-year contract with Barcelona for £36.5m.
He also did his medicals with the La Liga giants before heading to Portland USA to join the rest of the team according to reports from Marca.
Marca also reports that Barcelona are currently gauging the possibility of presenting Malcom officially on Thursday.
