The young defender was hoping to get some more playing time as his teammate Varane builds his fitness upon returning from his post World Cup break.
Unfortunately, the 21-year-old suffered a grade two rupture in his left leg and will be unable to play the UEFA Super Cup and La Liga opener against Getafe.
