Award-winning Nigerian singer David Adeleke, who is popularly known by his stage name Davido, is remembering his mother Veronica Imade Adeleke on Mother’s Day, wishing she was still alive.
The singer took to his Instagram account to pay tribute to his late mother.
Recall that the musician had some time last year acknowledged that it was his mum who was protecting him.
At the time Davido had written: “LOVE U MOMMY!! !!! I KNOW ITS YOU THAT IS PROTECTING ME!!!!! I KNOW!!!! I LOVE U!! UR SON GALLANT DIE!!!!!!!! RIP!!!”
The late Veronica Imade Adeleke, a former lecturer of Babcock University, died on 6 March 2003, at the age of 39.
She was survived by her husband, Adedeji Adeleke, and her four children, Adewale, Davido, Sharon and Ashley.
Taking to his Instagram page today, 10 May 2020, Davido writes: “Happy Mother’s day MAMA. Keep resting in Perfect peace ! We Dey worry dem down here !! Wish u were here.”
