Author Chimamanda Adichie has been announced as the winner of the 2019 Everett M. Rogers award.

Everrett M. Rogers wrote the book Diffusion of Innovation, which is the most cited book in social sciences. The award has been presented every year in his name.

USC Annenberg presents the award and Willow Bay, Dean of USC, said of the writer:

“Her voice and her power to inspire made Chimamanda Adichie the unanimous choice for the 2019 Rogers Award.

“Her visit will continue the global conversation about race, gender and identity to which she’s contributed so forcefully.”

The award will be presented to her at the school on 7 February 2019.
