Asa has dropped the music video for Good Things, her second single after 5-year hiatus from the music scene.
In Good Things, the Nigerian French artist sings about her feelings following a messy breakup. “I am too fly for this, and I have no time for this/ I’m not afraid to be on my own and I am so fine with this.”

In the video for Good Thing, Asa gives a more expansive meaning to the song. Shot mostly outside, The Good Thing video shows people going about their day with different tribulations, ranging from a bag being stolen to a suicide attempt. We see each person eventually working out their problem. Perhaps the most poignant part of the video was when the girl contemplating suicide flushes the medicines down the toilet.
This video is one of hope that even when one’s world seems to be clashing, there is light at the end if they persevere.
And as Asa belts in the song: “Over waiting for you/ This plane is leaving without you / Cause I am too fly for this/ So I’ll be good in no time”
