The Super Eagles of Nigeria, Wednesday night slogged out a win over Tunisia to clinch the third place in the ongoing African Cup of Nations, Egypt 2019.

A lone goal from Odion Ighalo in the opening minutes of the match was enough to secure victory for the Eagles, who saw their dream of winning a fourth AFCON titled dashed Sunday night by the Desert Warriors of Algeria.

Pending tomorrow’s final between Senegal and Algeria, Ighalo has emerged the tournament highest scorer with five goals.

While a third place was not the original goal, the players are happy to have come home with some honours.
