Lil Wayne ordered to pay $150K over fake concert

American rapper Lil Wayne (born Dwayne Michael Carter Jr) has been ordered to pay over $150,000 in damages after he created a fake convert.

According to TMZ, the rapper failed to appear before a judge after one Ramin Natan dragged him to court back in January for allegedly orchestrating a fake concert that was promoted under his name. Hence, the court awarded the claimant the default amount he seeks.

In the lawsuit, which also named The Migos as defendants, Ramin Natan claims the defendants were “Ponzi scheme artists who created shell companies to get money for shows they never planned to really perform.”

He also said in the filing document that he loaned half a million dollars to one Eric Stenger, who he says lied about being a promoter. Natan says he feels Stenger was acting in cohort with Lil Wayne whom he claims received the money but never performed.

Lil Wayne was not in court to defend himself, so the court ordered the payout to Natam by default.
