Seth Rogen is distancing himself from his old-time friend James Franco after the latter’s legal issues over sexual misconduct. In a recent interview, chronicled by Vulture, Rogen revealed that he had no plans to keep working with Franco.
The two Hollywood heavyweights had first appeared together on the American teen comedy-drama series “Freaks and Geeks” in 1999. Since then, they have collaborated in making eight films, including “The Disaster Artist” (2017), for which James Franco won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor. Both of them have gone on to make names for themselves.

However, the heat is currently turned on for Franco after five women accused him of ‘inappropriate or sexually exploitative [behaviour]’ in 2018. Sarah Tither-Kaplan and Toni Gaal filed a lawsuit against him in 2019 for subjecting them ‘to his personal and professional sexual exploitation in the name of education’ through his acting school Studio 4. The lawsuit was settled in February 2021. Before them, actress Ally Sheedy had also hinted that she quit working with him because of inappropriate behaviour. His former girlfriend, Violet Paley, also said that he had forced her to perform oral sex while they were together.
