Nigerian singer, actress, and songwriter Omawumi Megbele popularly known as Omawumi rose to prominence after she sparked fandom in the heart of many during the West African Idols in 2007 and her debut album “Wonder Woman” followed 2 years later.

“Wonder Woman” was released over a decade ago and for some reason was the bedrock for the successes that followed, leading Omawumi to become one of Nigeria’s most prominent artists of the past decade.

The album is an evergreen classic project which still resonates with many to date with its strongholds being the quality of writing and the ability to tell beautiful tales with her lyrics.

Omawunmi is undoubtedly very talented and it was very evident on the “Wonder Woman” project as she blended genres like R&B, pop, dance, Hip-Hop, disco, and afro-fusion to create a 16-track classic.

The album which was released exactly on 21 May 2009 features guest appearances from Shank, Waje, Kel, and Naeto C.
