Arsenal have left Mesut Ozil and youngster William Saliba out of their Europa League squad, which was submitted on Thursday to UEFA.
Man United’s Sergio Romero and Chelsea’s Danny Drinkwater were among players left out by their clubs as well.
Mesut Ozil continues to fall out of favour at the Emirates having been left out of playing for the team since the restart of football following the coronavirus pandemic disruption.
Many still wonder what could have caused the highest earner at Arsenal to be frozen out of the team but Arsenal’s manager Mikel Arteta has said it would be difficult for anyone to get into the current Arsenal side.
Let’s take a look at the squad list for the Premier League teams participating in Europe’s elite club competition this season.
