Born 1 July 1984, Jared Keeso is a Canadian actor, screenwriter, and producer. He currently stars in the series lead role of Wayne in the sitcom “Letterkenny”, which he also created, and as Ben Chartier in the “19-2” television series. The Ontario-born actor played for the Strathroy Rockets of the Western Ontario Hockey League and the Listowel Cyclones of the GOJHL, as a youth.
Keeso has had a variety of minor and major parts in both television and film over the years. Early life and education
Keeso was born in Listowel, Ontario, to Anne and Richard Keeso. His family owned and operated the Keeso Sawmill Company, which was founded in 1872. Keeso spent several years working in the sawmill before pulling out to embark on his acting career. Unfortunately, a fire destroyed the sawmill on 9 September 2018. As a youth he played junior hockey for the Strathroy Rockets of the WOHL, with future two-time Stanley Cup champion Jeff Carter, and also played for the Listowel Cyclones of the GOJHL.
Abigail Keeso is Jared’s younger sister and she is quite famous online for her work as a nutritionist and the co-founder of That Clean Life company.

Wayne Letterkenny
“Letterkenny” is a Canadian television sitcom created by Jared Keeso, developed and written primarily by Keeso and Jacob Tierney. The series began as a YouTube web series titled “Letterkenny Problems”, and it was commissioned as a television series by Crave in March 2015. The show follows the residents of Letterkenny, a fictional rural community in Ontario loosely based on Keeso’s hometown of Listowel, Ontario. At the 5th Canadian Screen Awards in 2017, the series won the award for Best Comedy Series.
Jared stars in the lead role as Wayne, who runs the small farm he and his sister live on, along with a produce stand on the property.
