Jennifer Lopez broke up with Alex Rodriguez because “Her Trust” was broken

American singer and actress Jennifer Lopez and Baseball pro Alex Rodriguez who had been dating since 2017 broke things off officially after an announcement was made on 15 April 2021 but a source close to eonline.com revealed that the relationship was irreparable after J.Lo’s trust was broken.

The pair got engaged in 2019 after Alex proposed with a stunning $1 million engagement ring but then rumors of a split were finally confirmed a few days ago.

The online news outlet, E! News revealed a statement released by the pair on 15 April which reads, “We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so… We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects.”

Following numerous fights that led to loss of trust in one another over the past couple of months, the couple still persisted and made efforts to reconcile their differences at the time and even clearly stated the relationship wasn’t over just yet as they are “working through some things.”

Yet, it failed to live up to their expectations.

A source close to Jennifer and Alex revealed in an interview with E! News after the couple split up a few days ago that J.Lo is at peace with the eventual outcome.

The source also claims Alex Rodriguez had it coming because the 51-year-old singer and actress has been unhappy for a while, according to E! News.

E! News reveals the source said, “Once her trust is broken, there’s no turning around. She feels good about her decision because she knows A.Rod will still be in her life, just in a different capacity.”

It is also believed there’s a cordial relationship between the exes as they hope to remain friends. They also still have a couple of business ventures linking them together.

A report by Variety last July reveals that they got a shared home in Encino, California, and sold off their joint-owned beach house in Malibu in September 2020.

Also, the pair got a mansion in Miami for $33 million in the same month according to Business Insider.

However, reports suggest that J.Lo would be staying in Los Angeles for now as she has no plan to see Alex Rodriguez.

Alex still hopes they can make it work although it was Jennifer who called things off for good.

The baseball pro over the past few weeks has continued to try to woo her and even made a trip to the Dominican Republic in March to be with Jennifer who was shooting her upcoming movie.
