Trailer Thursday: ‘No Time to Die’ set for November cinema release

Fans have waited for months for the release of the 25th James Bond movie, No Time to Die, but now the release date is so close that we are talking about it on today’s Trailer Thursday.

No Time to Die is the fifth and last turn for masterful actor, Daniel Craig in this role as he is set to retire from his role as the suave and skilled James Bond.

In No Time to Die, Bond and the villain, Ernst Blofeld, played by Christoph Waltz have a shared enemy in the form of Safin, played by Rami Malek.

The premise of the film is simple: Five years after the capture of Ernst Stavro Blofeld, James Bond has left active service. He is approached by Felix Leiter, his friend and a CIA officer, who enlists his help in the search for Valdo Obruchev, a missing scientist.

When it becomes apparent that Obruchev was abducted, Bond must confront a danger the likes of which the world has never seen before.

While the premise is indeed simple, the trailer shows that this film is no different from the rest and is full of as much heart-pumping action as the other Bond films that made the franchise a favourite.

In this movie, however, there are a number of surprises that have made fans believe that the next Bond may not be a man after all.

In the new trailer, we meet Paloma, an agent who comes to Bond’s rescue. We also meet a new double 07 in the form of Naomi, played by Lashana Lynch. Fans are convinced that she might fill Craig’s shoes in later movies.

The film is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga from a screenplay by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, Fukunaga and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

The movie stars Léa Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Christoph Waltz, Rory Kinnear and Ralph Fiennes, Rami Malek, Lashana Lynch, Ana de Armas, Dali Benssalah, Billy Magnussen, and David Dencik.

No time to Die is set for a November 2020 release but with Coronavirus, we can only wait and watch. The final trailer for the film has been shared in the meantime.
