Today, 10 June is Prince Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh’s 99th birthday, and to celebrate, a new photo has been released.

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh have released a new photo to celebrate his birthday. The photo, which was taken on 1 June 2020 in Windsor, UK shows Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh in the quadrangle of Windsor castle.

The Queen is wearing an Angela Kelly dress with the Cullinan V diamond brooch while The Duke is wearing a Household Division tie.

This is the first public photo of the Duke since he was seen leaving a London hospital on 24 December 2019.

He has been married to The Queen for 72 years and has made only a handful of appearances since he officially retired from royal duties in 2017.

He is the longest-serving consort in British history and the oldest serving partner of a reigning monarch.
