Chris Brown and Rihanna dated from 2007-2009 but their relationship soon turned violent. In February 2009, during one argument they fought which left her face bloodied and bruised hospitalized for a few days

Brown turned himself in to the police shortly after he assaulted his girlfriend. He accepted a plea deal that included community labor, 5 years’ probation and domestic violence counseling – but it also came with an order of Protection against him for life

Rihanna opened up to Oprah about her relationship with Chris in 2012, saying they were working on their friendship and that it seemed like things had been smooth between them for a while now. The two briefly got back together from 2012 until 2013 but since then we haven’t seen much about them.
