Music industry insiders had predicted Adele would become only the second solo artist in the franchise’s 55-year history to be invited to perform another title track. Shirley Bassey, now 80, recorded 1964’s Goldfinger, 1971’s Diamonds Are Forever and 1979’s Moonraker. Beyoncé’s rap mogul husband JAY-Z, 47, could also jump on the Bond bandwagon by co-writing the theme, the Daily Star concluded.
