Animators will be celebrating the Animation film day with a series of event lined up by the Franco-German Cultural Fund.
The workshop will take place from November 12-15 at Afrinolly and will be facilitated by the German animation film expert Samuel Weikopf. The topics for the film day will be on improving the quality, capacity building of the emerging sector in Nigeria.
In a statement signed Aderinsola Ajao for Goethe-Institut Nigeria, the animation day is supported by the African International Film Festival (AFRIFF).
Expected to grace the workshop and celebration are Ebele Okoye (Nigerian-German animation filmmaker) Christophe Guignement (French animation film producer), Niyi Akinmolayan, Stanlee Ohikhuare, Alexandre Rideau (French film producer), Ayodele Elegba (CEO of Spoof Animation), Tayo Fasunon (Nigerian animation filmmaker), Yoann Talhouarne (French Consulate General Lagos) and O. J. Okosun (Nigerian animator).
