Khafi Kareem has taken to her social media to celebrate her mum who turned a year older on 22 June. The actress shared an emotional message in honour of her mother’s birthday.
These are trying times for the Kareem family, especially Khafi’s mum. Recall that the ex-reality star lost her younger brother, Alexander Kareem, to gunmen, close to their family home in London.
Taking to her Instagram page, Khafi shared an old video, which captured the playful moment their mum was kissing Alex.
She thanked her for all the things she did for all for of them and assured her of the love the remaining three of them have for her.
Her message reads:
“Happy Birthday Mummy. I know today isn’t happy as it should be, as in an ideal world, all four of your children should be here celebrating with you today. Two weeks ago none of us would have thought this wouldn’t be the case. You are going through the unimaginable right now but still we celebrate you mummy.
“We thank God for your life and we thank God you had the honour of being such an amazing mother to Alex, doing everything you could to give us everything you could. We your children who remain do not take you for granted. Even though Alex isn’t physically here, I know he is with us in spirit and joining us as we say Happy Birthday. I also bet that he is still pretending to not want a kiss, then leaning in for one anyway ?? We love you mummy, every tear you are crying shall turn into joy.”
Khafi shared the post on her Instagram page, which she has now set to private.
I came across your heartfelt message celebrating your mum on her birthday, and I wanted to reach out and offer my condolences for the loss of your younger brother, Alexander Kareem. It must be an incredibly challenging time for you and your family, and my thoughts are with you all.
