AnnMarie Thomson, a representative for the British pop star, confirmed the reports to USA TODAY.
According to The Sun, Félicité collapsed Wednesday afternoon at her fourth-floor studio apartment in West London.
Police and ambulance were called to an address in West London at 12:52 Wednesday following reports of a woman “in cardiac arrest,” London Metropolitan Police spokesperson Claire Cooper tells USA TODAY in a statement.
“A female believed to be aged 18 was pronounced dead at the scene,” the statement said. The cause of death is being treated as “unexplained,” pending a post-mortem examination.
The tragic news comes two years after the death of the siblings’ mother, Johannah Deakin, who died at age 43 following a battle with cancer. Louis will no longer be performing at a scheduled BBC Red Nose Day charity concert on Friday. He has yet to release a comment.
