Liam Hemsworth addresses Miley Cyrus split on Instagram

After the shocking news of the breakup of Hollywood superstar couple Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth over the weekend, unsurprisingly, the couple has been in the news as rag outlets vie for the latest scoop.

And in what looks like a move to counter the conspiracy theories, Liam took to Instagram in the early hours of Tuesday morning to present a concise state of affairs.

In essence, these are:

• He and Miley Cyrus “have recently separated” and that he wishes her “nothing but health and happiness going forward.”
• He hasn’t made and won’t make any comments to media outlets about the matter.

“Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward.

“This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false.

Cyrus and Hemsworth, who’d been together for a decade and married in December 2018, announced their split on Saturday. A rep for the singer said at the time:

“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”
