Born 1 July 1984, Jared Keeso is a Canadian actor, screenwriter, and producer. He currently stars in the series lead role of Wayne in the sitcom “Letterkenny”, which he also created, and as Ben Chartier in the “19-2” television series. Early life and education

Keeso was born in Listowel, Ontario, to Anne and Richard Keeso. His family owned and operated the Keeso Sawmill Company, which was founded in 1872. Keeso spent several years working in the sawmill before pulling out to embark on his acting career. Unfortunately, a fire destroyed the sawmill on 9 September 2018. As a youth he played junior hockey for the Strathroy Rockets of the WOHL, with future two-time Stanley Cup champion Jeff Carter, and also played for the Listowel Cyclones of the GOJHL.

“19-2” is a Canadian police procedural crime drama television series developed by Bruce M. Smith. It is set in Montréal and follows the professional and personal lives of patrol officers from the Montréal Police Service’s Station 19, which covers an inner-city area of the City.

Kesso plays Ben Chartier, a veteran constable from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) who transferred to Montreal to escape troubles in his hometown. He teams up with Nick Barron after Nick’s partner is shot in action and hospitalised for life.
